As Season 10 of Apex Legends begins to draw to a close early next month, fans are beginning to look ahead to what's potentially in store for Season 11. Not much has been officially confirmed by Respawn about what the new season will hold, but plenty of fans have some ideas on how to improve Wattson when the seasons change.
Wattson has one of the lowest pick rates out of any of the Legends featured in Apex Legends hovering around 1.5% according to ApexLegendsStatus.com. One Reddit user, u/Medium-Natural-638 asked the sub-Reddit r/ApexLegends what they would change about the character, and the responses have stirred up a lot of thought amongst the community.

The most popular thing fans have focused on are Wattson's electric fences with most players saying that they're far too visible meaning that hardly anyone ever gets trapped in them. User u/michelangelo6002 suggests that they could activate when someone walks near them similar to Caustic's gas traps which could fix the issue. u/KingDread306 thinks it might be fixed if the fences were much harder to see, but make a recognizable noise so that players can hear them, but only if they're being observant. There are a lot of suggestions about what Respawn could change about Wattson's fences and it seems like an established issue that many fans have with the character, so hopefully the studio does something to them in Season 11.
Several users agree that a Wattson buff that increases the number of fence nodes that she carries should be implemented ASAP, upping the number from 12 to 16 or so. Users also agree that she should be able to throw her fence nodes like Caustic does. u/whatisabaggins55 points out that as it is right now, Wattson can place fences roughly 4 meters away from her, but Caustic can place his nodes 12 meters away. Giving her a similar ability could really increase her usefulness.
One of Wattson's passive abilities allows her to recharge her shields over time if they've been damaged. She recharges at a rate of one point per two seconds, and several fans in the Reddit thread are hoping that rate can be increased to match Octane's health regen rate of one point per one second. Because Wattson doesn't have an ability that actively drains her shields like how Octane's Stim costs him health, it seems like Respawn might be less inclined to buff her passive, but it would still make her a much more competitively viable character than she is now.
