The new anti-cheat system for Call of Duty: Warzone is, thankfully, right around the corner. However, before it arrives, Call of Duty: Warzone hackers seem to be getting the most out of their cheats, including a new one that expands the player’s FOV to an absurd level.
It’s a bit ironic that the latest Call of Duty: Warzone hack is tied to a player’s field-of-view. Since the battle royale game launched over a year ago, the most requested feature by the console community has been an FOV slider. While PC players have access to a Call of Duty: Warzone FOV slider, those on PlayStation and Xbox do not, putting them at a serious disadvantage due to how little they can see on their screen. However, if a slider ever did come, it certainly would not reach the absurd option of 400 that is being utilized by some of the game’s many cheaters.

A Call of Duty: Warzone TikTok video from @djfattyp shows the hack in action, and as one would expect, the player is incredibly zoomed out. With the camera never intended to go that far, the animation for equipping armor looks incredibly strange, as the player’s left arm is clearly just pulling air instead of giving the illusion that armor is being equipped. However, the 400 FOV is not just a strange preference on the part of the player, but instead is a hack that guarantees perfect accuracy.

Unlike Call of Duty: Warzone’s flying vehicles and aimbots, this cheat would be impossible to detect on the part of those that fall victim to the hacker. While most exploits in the game are obvious, allowing players to report the hacker, this cheat is only visible to the person using it. The killcams will show the player as if they were just picking up a normal kill, as this hack does not come with the clear giveaways of an aimbot. There are no unnatural movements, with the guns ending up with perfect accuracy as opposed to the player.
The subtlety of this hack makes it particularly dangerous, as some are wondering if Call of Duty: Warzone’s anti-cheat system will even be able to detect new hacks like this one. While fans will surely get their answer next month, this is certainly a worrying thing to see. Given how easily the player drops enemies that are at a distance, and how much they can see due to the huge field of view, this hack could become extremely popular if measures are not taken to get rid of it.
For now, Call of Duty: Warzone players will sadly need to keep putting up with hacks such as this one. Until the anti-cheat system arrives, the best gamers can do is report anyone who is playing unfairly.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
