Metroid Dread: Where to Go After Grapple Beam

Metroid games are all about collecting new items and abilities to then backtrack to uncover new areas and secret items for Samus to use on her journey. One of the items that players can collect is called the Grapple Beam, and it can be found in Artaria, the first significant area that players will go through in Metroid Dread. By using this guide, Metroid Dread players will learn how to use the Grapple Beam and where to go after acquiring it.

How to Use Grapple Beam in Metroid Dread

The Grapple Beam can latch on to blue points around the planet. Players can also easily climb up the blue magnetic walls by using this item as well. Hold ZR and press Y to fire the beam. It can also be used to pull objects that have a glowing blue light, like Grapple Beam doors, blocks, and boxes. This item will undoubtedly come in handy when players are trying to run away from the EMMI robots.

Where to Go After Getting Grapple Beam in Metroid Dread

Once players get the item, they should follow these steps to get to the next area:

• Use the beam to pull the block in the room where the Grapple Beam was acquired. Go up and use the beam again to pull open the door.
• In the next room, use the Grapple Beam to swing across the gap into the next room.
• Here, use the beam to pull Samus up onto the blue magnetic wall. Keep heading up the corridor, pulling Samus up to the other blue walls, and enter the door on the top left to get to a travel room and go to Dairon.
• Once in Dairon, pull the glowing blue block on the right with the Grapple Beam. Enter morph ball mode and shoot a bomb to get launched.
• In the room that Samus lands in, head to the top left corner to enter an EMMI zone.
• Use the Speed Booster to break the blocks on the top right of this room and then leave the EMMI zone.
• Pull the box with the Grapple Beam in the next room and then head into the elevator to be taken to Ferenia.
