An interesting aspect of Pokemon games is that players can make some of their favorite critters evolve, change their form, and even get new Types altogether, ultimately making the Pokemon stronger. Not all Pokemon have evolutions, and those who do usually evolve once or twice at best, even though there are Mega Evolutions to consider as well as Gigantamaxing Pokemon, something the modern Generations introduced over time. Some Pokemon also have trade-exclusive evolutions, which means that they can only evolve when traded to other players, and many other Pokemon evolve with specific items being used on them or given to them, which is especially true in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
