DC FanDome Reveals Full Talent Lineup For Upcoming 2021 Event

DC FanDomehas brought out the heavy hitters in the recent trailer for the upcoming virtual convention, which promoted the event and the full lineup of talent that will be making an appearance. Nothing is certain regarding what the lineup of talent will be doing at the event, but fans shouldn't be surprised if there are interviews or panels.

The event has been teased all year by DC as the company gears up for a heavy year of releases this upcoming fall and all of 2022. Many fans are anticipating the new sequels for movies such as Shazam!, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman, to name a few, as well as films that may start new franchises such as The Batman and Black Adam.

The DC FanDome event will also debut first looks at new television shows, animated movies, video games, and comic books. On the list of highly anticipated projects is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which will see the anti-hero group battle the earth's mightiest protectors in a video game developed by Rocksteady (known for the Batman Arkham games). Today's DC FanDome announcement, however, revealed more of the talent side. The new DC FanDome trailer showed all of the creatives who fans will be seeing during the upcoming event, which include actors, filmmakers, writers, artists, and developers.

The full list is relatively long with a wide range of talent, so fans should be more than satisfied. Missing from the list, however, is Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, and Ray Fisher, who play Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, respectively. Fisher has been mistreated by the DC Comics/Warner Bros. collective following his situation with Joss Whedon. Fans really want to see Fisher return after it was rumored that Cyborg was written out of The Flash. Not having his character in a film that's rumored to be messing up the timeline makes very little sense, especially considering Flash and Cyborg developed the closest friendship in both versions of the Justice League film (especially in Zack Snyder's version).

Hopefully, DC FanDome makes up for the missteps in the past that have caused many casual fans to gravitate to Marvel. DC is often known for excelling when it comes to animated movies, television shows, and video games, while Marvel dominates the box office with its live-action films. DC has a lot of new projects coming out, so maybe it can become a contender against the Marvel/Disney heavyweight.

DC FanDome 2021 will stream on October 16th.
