It seems that every film coming out nowadays is a continuation of some sort: sequels, reboots, remakes, etc. It can be a slippery slope, as fans’ reactions can go one of two ways: they either hate it or love it. The new Syfy Chucky TV show already has a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. In contrast, other sequels in the past, such as Jaws 3D (1983) or the infamously hated Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005), did not so well among audiences.
